Employment & Labor Law

The employment relationship creates rights and obligations in both employees and employers that are vast, wide ranging, and at times confusing. At Vicevich Law, we offer advice and counseling on both sides of the employment relationship, ranging from playing a preventative counseling role for employers to conducting termination negotiations for employees.

For employers, one of the best services we provide is preventative counseling. As the adage says – the best time to get legal advice is before you need it. Our preventative counseling service includes conducting a review of human resource policies, evaluation of employee practices, and providing advice and guidance regarding employment decisions. Our attorneys regularly draft company handbooks, review and revise policies, and provide counseling on disciplinary matters and terminations. If a claim is made against an employer, we also provide legal representation to respond to EEOC charges of discrimination, defense of adverse employment practices claims, or internal investigations of alleged discrimination or harassment.

If, as an employee, you feel you have been discriminated against or treated unfairly by your employer, we have experience with handling all aspects of employment discrimination ranging from discriminatory discharges, sexual harassment or wage disputes.

Our lawyers have experience practicing in both state and Federal court and are knowledgeable of all aspects of employment claims. At Vicevich Law, we are committed to fair and aggressive representation of our clients and preservation of the employment relationship rights and obligations based on the facts and the law, not on which side of the employer-employee relationship you reside.

Wage and hour disputes, workplace conditions or other issues that arise between management and employees can affect performance, morale and profitability. Vicevich Law has experience in compliance counseling and litigation services for both management and employee clients.  We also offer training for employee relations, employment discrimination avoidance, and other topics to help promote effective labor-management relations and ensure compliance with state and federal labor, discrimination, and wage and hour laws.
